Zagreb, capital and largest city of Croatia is situated between the southern slopes of Medvednica Mountain and northern and southern banks of Sava River. The climate of Zagreb is subtropical humid climate with four separate seasons; summers being hot and winters being cold and with regular snowfall during December to March. Major industries in Zagreb are electrical machines and device manufacturing, textiles, pharmaceuticals, food processing and chemical. Zagreb is the hub of five major highways in Croatia and majority of the highways originate or end in Zagreb. It has an international airport and an extensive network of railways and roadways. Zagreb houses many museums that reflect the art, culture and history of not only Croatia but also of Europe and the world. Zagreb is a major tourist center of Europe not only as a vital link between Central Europe and Adriatic Sea but also as a prime travel destination.
