Granada Spain

Granada is placed at the foot of mountain Sierra Neveda in Spain. There is a autonomous community in Andalusia and Granada is the capital of this province. It is exactly placed at the confluence of three rivers named as Beiro, Darro and Genil. A Moorish Citadel called as Alhambra is situated in Granada. Some good constructions of Moorish and Morisco is preserved at the Albaicin city. The Sierra Neveda Ski resort is placed here where the world Ski championship of 1996 took place. It is really great and enjoyable skiing here. The Almohad urbanism is also found in this city. One can find several churches built in Mudejar style of Moorish Almohad dynasty. There are also so many historic important palaces such as Palace of Charles V, Castril palace, Dar al-Horra are the famous in Granada. Several muslim remains and buildings were destroyed during catholic period and the muslims were forced to convert to catholicism.

Cordoba is a city in southern Spain and is located on the banks of the river GuaDalquivir. It was an Iberian and Roman city in ancient times. The Fernandine and Alphonsine style churches, Great Mosque of Cordoba, Cordoba Synagogue Walcha cave and various monastries and convent are the best sight seeing in Cordoba.
