This is a beautiful place to visit. This beautiful capitol city is currently experiencing some political differences. This is not something that directly effects tourists. There have been some violence as a part of demonstrations. No innocent tourists have been targeted so far. It is very strongly advised not to be near any of the demonstrations for personal safety.
This capitol city of the Kyrgyz Republic is gorgeous. It sits in a gorgeous mountain range and rests nestled in a valley. This city is newer and is lacking a vast variety of historical sites to visit. It is a planned city and has large lanes lining the gridded city with irrigation and large trees. It is on what is known as the ‘silk road’ and is a great place to start your tour of that. Going with the whole family to see this planned city is a great vacation idea.
