Vaduz is the capital of Principality of Liechtenstein and the seat of national Parliament. Vaduz town is located along the Rhine. Population of the town is 5,248, majority being Roman Catholics. Cathedral of Vaduz is the seat of Roman Catholic Archbishop.

Vaduz Castle is the most prominent landmark of the Vaduz town, which is the home of reigning prince of Liechtenstein and the Liechtenstein Princely Family. Being perched atop a steep hill in the middle of the town, the Castle is visible from anywhere in the Vaduz town. The National Art Gallery and the National Museum are located in Vaduz. The Art Gallery has a vast collection of modern and contemporary art. Despite being one of the very few capitals in the world without an airport or a railway station, Vaduz is very popular as a tourist destination in Europe. During the tourist seasons, the government parks mobile tourist offices in the central places to guide the tourists. Vaduz town is famous for its lively markets and shopping areas that sell unique handmade souvenirs and artifacts.
