Las Vegas, most populous city in the state of Nevada in USA, is a world-renowned city of casinos, shopping and entertainment. Best known as The Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas has world’ highest numbers of casino resorts offering gambling related entertainment. With an estimated population of about 560,000, Las Vegas is 28th most populous city of USA. It is emerging as a preferred city for retirement and family life. Due to its tolerance for maximum numbers of adult entertainment and gambling dens, it is often called as Sin City.

Owing to its numerous outdoor lighting displays, Las Vegas remains as the brightest area of the earth as seen from the space. Las Vegas houses several popular settings for films and television programs. Despite its growing gambling economy, Las Vegas is set to fall behind Macau in China, which has become the largest gambling center in the world. Las Vegas is situated on the arid dessert floor within Clark County and thus the surrounding environment is dominated by dessert vegetation, wildlife and torrential flash floods.
