Lisbon Portugal

Lisbon is the capital of Portugal and one of the oldest cities. It is situated on the northern banks of river Tagus. Its rich history is reflected in its renovated palaces, cultural heritage of castle mirror and magnificent churches. Great boulevards and monuments are seen as we move from one place to other.

The legend describes it as the city on seven hills with narrow streets full of art and culture and its cobble-stoned pavements. The national museum of contemporary art, Berardo museum, Calouste Gulbenkian and Cramo Archaeological museum speaks the history of ancient and modern arts. This city finds its importance in the finance, arts, media, commerce, international trade and tourism. Hence this city is called as Alpha world city. It is the wealthiest region in Portugal in terms of per capita income. Lisbon enjoys mild winters and warm to hot summers. It is also a good tourist spot and has many malls and shopping sprees.

Malta – Valletta

The beautiful island nation of Malta has its capitol city of Valletta built in beautiful sixteenth century style. This high rising city jettisons out of the ocean in a beautiful mix of brick and tan. Housing some of the most beautiful religious artifacts in the world it gets a lot of tourism. This city houses the famed St. John’s Co Cathedral. This beautiful and astonishing piece of art is a wonderful testament to the house of god.

There are many architectural and archeological sites to see. You can take the family and make weeks of loving this beautiful capitol city. With it’s gorgeous museums full of religious artifacts and ancient goods, theatres, and national libraries it is a great place for the entire family of any age. Being on the waterfront allows for the opportunity to take boat trips to view the city from the water. At night this is an exceptionally gorgeous site.
