Vienna, capital, largest and primary city of Austria, is one of the nine states of Austria. With a population of around 1.7 million, Vienna is the tenth largest city by population in Europe. It is the cultural, economic and administrative center of Austria. As of 2008, Vienna ranks at #1 in terms of quality of Life (shares the rank with Vancouver) and at #2 in terms of quality of living. Vienna is situated in the east of Austria and close to Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. With its humid continental climate, Vienna has warm and pleasant summers and cold winters with low temperatures up to freezing point. Vienna has a very long tradition of its art and culture and thus opera houses, theaters, classical music and arts remain as the primary theme of several festivals, concerts and cultural events.

Belgrade is the most economically developed part of Serbia and is home to the National Bank of Serbia. It is the seat for many multi national corporations such as Unilever, Japan Tobaccos, Microsoft, Motorola and Intel, among other. Belgrade holds several cultural festivals and events including few International festivals. Belgrade is a popular destination for the weekend visitors from Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia particularly for its vibrant and unrestricted nightlife on the banks of Sava and Danube rivers.
